Stayed here for a few nites while Ward & I were in NYC. We picked this hotel after a friend had stayed here & recommended it. Price was average for NYC. I had checked in online thru the Hilton App & our room was ready when we arrived at noon. That was great.
PRO- Walking distance from Penn Station (we came in by Acela), close to the Empire State Building, bars/restaurants & a Starbucks on same street. We felt safe walking around here at night. Which for tourists is important. Our room was average size & decor, but VERY CLEAN. Great view of the Empire State Building & the City Lights. I'd def go for the "Empire State View" room upgrade if I were you. I didn't regret it.
CON-The concierge told us to check out the rooftop bar next door but sadly didn't tell us to make a reservation. The bar people weren't pleased we had no reservation but let us in. The views were terrific. Make a reservation & go.
SO- I'd definitely stay here again & recommend it to any of my friends going to NYC.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Very decent hotel for NYC, not far from Time Square, the rooms are small and cramp, but it's NYC and you should expect that no matter where you stay. I would stay again.

I liked this place. It was up to date, clean and the service was great. They have a good gym, which never seemed to be busy. The location is close to a lot of major tourist attractions and and the price was not bad by NYC standards. Of course the rooms are tiny, but who plans to spend a lot of time in their room when they are in NYC anyway.

Wow! This was a great find in NYC. The price was not necessarily the cheapest around, but the accommodations were fantastic. I'm a hilton honors member so I received a free breakfast each day and free wifi. in NYC this is hard to come by. The room was spacious enough for me, quiet and clean. It was a perfect stay and I'll plan to stay here on my future trips!

This is a convenient place close the Penn Station and major subway lines. Like many of the new hotels in NYC, the design is utilitarian vs luxurious. The room was tight but functional and if staying more than 2-3 days, you might feel claustrophobic in the room. Also, if you are more than 2 people, plan on getting an additional room(s) to accommodate your group.
The hotel does have a good restaurant for breakfast and if you want to grab a drink, they have a full-service bar although you would have to move into the lobby to enjoy your drink (when we were there this weekend, the bar entrance was the only one for the hotel).
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable to help tourists get around the City. The hotel is surrounded by a number of good Asian restaurants and with easy access to the subway system and taxis everywhere, you can easily get around the NYC as well as accessing the surrounding areas.
Bottom line- good for a short visit to NYC. It meets Hilton standards and has easy access for getting around NYCHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Polly F.Albany, NY10127Mar 6, 2011
We stayed here for two nights in February and were most pleased. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were the usual HGI comfy beds and the bathroom was clean. The shower stall didn't close completely, so there was water all over the floor, but that really was a minor problem.
Like anywhere affordable in NYC, the room was small. I wouldn't want to spend a long visit here with someone else. We were tripping over ourselves most of the time. But, it's NYC, you don't spend a lot of time in your room.
We had an amazing view of the city and the Empire State Building. And other than the usual sound of a bit of traffic, it was fairly quiet here. W. 35th Street is not a busy cross street, so it's about as quiet as you'll get in NYC. The rooms at the back of the hotel might have been a bit quieter, not sure.
The staff were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast was the usual HGI fare, ok, but not something I'd pay extra for - especially in a NYC.
Subway was steps from the hotel door. And Penn Station an easy walk away. I'd definitely stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tick...tick...tock...Clock C.Seattle, WA1672467Aug 8, 2014
I stay at this hotel when I need to stay near a Herald Square...I come here for work-it's clean and relatively modern. I'm not crazy about the hotel staff but when I stay in NYC at this location I need somewhere to put my stuff and sleep at night.
The rooms are a bit small but I guess that shouldn't be surprising for NYC. There is plenty of shopping nearby as well as places to eat.
I've stayed here 3 times so I will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Buster W.Metairie, LA383Jan 18, 2012
Great location, nice people, very helpful. I stay here everytime in the city. There is no reason to stay anywhere else. Rooms are bigger than most NYC hotels.
